Blog 5: Changes to my study program
Hi again! I'm Ivan and I will talk about my opinion
about the study program :)
First, I am
barely at my third semester of the career, so, I only have that experience to
make my opinion. I think that the curriculum of the career is good, because it has
a great variety of things, especially the psychological currents, there are
universities that specialize in one or two currents, but in the university of
Chile we can specialize in whatever we want, even if they tend to one current.
About the
workload, I think that will be good if they focus a little bit more in optional
works, maybe for one student an essay is okay, but for another is hard to
express they opinion and would prefer a report, and the same thing to the length
and the workload of the class, maybe having tests in different subjects of the class
would be more motivating to the students.
The thing
that I am like a “hater” (not so critical, but it makes me angry) is about the
capacitism of the university, because they assume that you will do things that
there are not part of the classes (or a condition to pass), but if you can not
do it, you can not pass, like for example, come to face to face classes. Before
the pandemic, that was something unquestionable, but now, we have the
facilities and technology to record the face to face classes and even, connect
to zoom to let the online students participate, but instead of that, they ignore
us, excusing in “if you can not do that, you will not be a good professional”.
Being in
the university is, definitely a surprising experience and have good and bad times,
but I thanks to all the people that make it a great experience and contribute
in that, like all of you in the English class. :3

Hello Ivan! You have a point that every person is a world and we all have diferent needs! I think that hibryd classes are so necesary today!
